Itinerary: Marrakech 2-day desert tour
Our two-day trip from Marrakech to the Zagora desert includes a detailed daily schedule.
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Zagora
We will pick you up in Marrakech and take you to Ouarzazate over the breathtaking Tizi n Tichka pass (2260 meters), which crosses the High Atlas Mountains. As you travel along this scenic route, you will be able to take in the breathtaking scenery. We reach the well-known Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is the biggest Kasbah in Morocco and is currently a UNESCO historical site where several famous movies were filmed. After lunch beside the Kasbah, head to Zagora, where your camel is waiting for you. You will be greeted by your local camel tour guide. You are going to explore this mysterious sea of sand. You can choose to spend the night in an authentic Berber nomad tent or a Luxury desert camp.
Day 2: Zagora desert - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
On the second day of our 2-day desert tour from Marrakech, we advise you to wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the desert.
After breakfast in the desert camp, we will drive to Ouarzazate and Marrakech, crossing the Tizi n’ Tichka pass again and arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
